The Floyd Tones Vol.1 in Our Live Setup on HeadRush Flex Prime

How a Sound Library Becomes Part of the Show

The Floyd Tones Amp Clone Vol.1 enters our setup as a bank built around the actual changes required by the guitar part. The 7 presets and 43 scenes allow us to manage clean tones, rhythm parts, ambience and lead sounds without turning every variation within a song into a separate rig. On HeadRush Flex Prime, we use Rigs, Setlist and Amp Clone files as a single integrated system, already prepared to fit directly into the setlist.

The Song Remains the Reference

The presets cover Coming Back to Life, The Wall, Time, Run Like Hell and Breathe, alongside The David’s Steel Tone and David’s Tone Cleans & Distortions.

In the song-specific presets, we focus primarily on input level, volume differences between scenes, delay, modulation and dynamics, making sure that clean and lead sounds can coexist within the same song without requiring adjustments during the performance.

The two 10-scene presets instead become broader working areas, useful whenever we need a tone that remains consistent with the rest of the rig but is not directly tied to one of the five main songs.

Scenes, Amp Clone and Setlist Within the Same Workflow

On HeadRush Flex Prime, we use the scenes to keep the main variations within each preset, while the footswitches handle only the changes that are actually needed during the performance.

The Gilmour 1 and Gilmour 2 Amp Clones are loaded according to the mapping provided with the pack, while the dedicated Setlist becomes the foundation for organising the presets according to the actual running order of the show.

The result is a more compact and intuitive rig, with fewer unnecessary changes, greater continuity and a more direct way of managing the setlist.
