Professional Profile

Mauro Godino took up the guitar at the age of twelve, driven by a strong passion for music and, in particular, for the sounds of Pink Floyd, which would go on to become one of the main influences on his musical journey.

Over the years, he has broadened his experience by exploring rock, blues, progressive rock, and singer-songwriter music, developing a personal approach based on the exploration of tone, atmosphere, and the ability to interpret a song beyond mere technical execution.

His work with numerous bands throughout Calabria has allowed him to gain significant live performance experience and to engage with different musicians, repertoires, and contexts.

The Guitar: Between Sound and Atmosphere

In Pink Floyd Infinity, Mauro Godino offers an experience deeply rooted in Pink Floyd’s repertoire and soundscape.

His work goes beyond simply reproducing the guitar parts: he explores timbres, dynamics, and atmospheres that capture the character of the songs and integrate them into the show’s stage setting.

The guitar thus becomes part of the story, interacting with the keyboards, rhythm section, visuals, and narration to contribute to the emotional continuity of the on-stage narrative.

ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE

Over the years, he has tackled and interpreted the repertoire of some of the most representative companies on the national scene, including PFM, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Area, Extra and New Trolls.

This experience allows him to delve deeper into complex musical structures, dynamic variations, and different musical languages, elements that naturally come together in his approach to Pink Floyd’s music.

For the past five years, he has also been the guitarist for the Syd Floyd Tribute, a project in which he further explores the British band’s repertoire, focusing not only on the musical performance but also on the sound and stage presentation.

Technique in the Service of Emotion

For Mauro Godino, music is not just about precision in performance.

Sound, dynamics, and atmosphere become tools for communicating something to the listener. Technical exploration takes on meaning when it transforms into musical interpretation and presence. It is this focus on emotion and the crafting of sound that is at the heart of the Pink Floyd Infinity project.
