The Endless Floyd Anthology MKI in our live setup on the Korg OASYS

How a Sound Library Becomes Part of the Show

On Korg OASYS, The Endless Floyd Anthology MKI becomes above all a tool for live performance control. Combinations, switches, joystick, knobs, and PADs make it possible to manage layers, samples, modulation, and functional changes without interrupting the flow of the song.

The library spans the repertoire from the early years through The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, and more recent material.

From Sound to Song

In Breathe, the PADs trigger samples, while On the Run combines samples with the step sequencer. In Shine On You Crazy Diamond, the PADs can trigger chords, while SW2 allows you to switch between bells and lead.

The Dark Side of the Moon also illustrates this approach very clearly: The Great Gig in the Sky, Money, Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage, and Eclipse make use of organs, Rhodes, samples, Leslie, and physical controls as integral parts of the performance.

The same approach continues with The Wall, Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, Sorrow, Coming Back to Life and Keep Talking: the sound changes, but the way it is handled remains consistent.

On stage, it's all about the FLOW

The advantage of the OASYS is that you can keep many spare parts right at your fingertips.

SW1 and SW2 can add layers or change functions; the joystick controls the Leslie and wah, while the knobs and PAD allow you to adjust specific parts of the arrangement without turning every transition into a complete change of Combination.

The 63 Combinations therefore become the operational core of the live show, while the more than 128 Programs remain the sound material we can draw from whenever we want to adapt splits, layers, or controls to our own rig.

The result is a setup that remains clear even when the character of the song changes completely.
