The Endless Floyd Anthology in our live setup on the Korg KROME / KROME EX

How a Sound Library Becomes Part of the Show

On Korg KROME / KROME EX, The Endless Floyd Anthology works in a particularly direct way: the 71 Combinations make full use of the keyboard’s internal resources, without relying on external samples.

Splits, layers, effects, and real-time controls thus become part of a setup that’s easier to set up and more intuitive to use on stage.

From Sound to Song

The journey spans virtually the entire history of Pink Floyd: from the early organs and psychedelic atmospheres to Echoes, The Dark Side of the Moon, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Animals, The Wall, Learning to Fly, Sorrow, Marooned, Coming Back to Life, and The Endless River.

With Dark Side, Rhodes, organs, synths, and pads move from one Combination to the next, following the flow of the setlist. With Shine On, Animals, and The Wall, on the other hand, the different configurations follow the keyboard’s changing role without forcing everything into a single setup.

The bonus PF Cover MKII also adds a second way of approaching many of the most important songs, allowing us to choose the configuration that best suits our arrangement.

On stage, it's all about the FLOW

In a live setting, SW1, SW2, joystick, splits, and layers become part of the musical gesture. Changing sounds does not interrupt the song; each sound simply comes in exactly when it is needed.

The absence of external samples also makes loading smoother and eliminates one variable during rehearsals and concerts. We select only the combinations for the setlist, check the levels and transitions, and let the KROME follow the show’s flow.

The result is a setup that’s easier to manage and more natural to play, leaving room for the atmosphere and emotion of the songs.
