PF Infinity in our live setup on the Yamaha Montage M
How a Sound Library Becomes Part of the Show
Playing Pink Floyd live means striking a constant balance between atmosphere, dynamics, and control. An electric piano can open a song, a pad can linger beneath a vocal part, a lead can suddenly emerge, and a sequence can become the rhythmic engine of the entire piece.
On the Yamaha MONTAGE M, PF Infinity lets us set up these sections as part of the performance itself. The 120 performances take advantage of the Yamaha M Series architecture, AN-X, and FM, but for us, what matters most is something else: having everything already set up to suit the music so we can stay focused on the performance.
From Sound to Song
Performances of Breathe, Comfortably Numb, High Hopes, Shine On, Learning to Fly, On the Run, Sorrow, Keep Talking, Time, Money, Us and Them, and Run Like Hell allow you to start right from the song’s structure.
On the Run is one of the most interesting examples: sequencing, effects, and real-time control become an integral part of the performance.
With Shine On You Crazy Diamond, pulse, strings, organ, pad, lead, and clavinet can be combined according to the arrangement, without having to force everything into a single setup.
On stage, it's all about the FLOW
During a concert, the most important thing is to stay immersed in the song.
On the MONTAGE M, you can start with complete performances or use individual elements when you need a more personalized setup. Splits, layers, arpeggiators, and Performance Pulse thus become part of your show preparation.
Compatibility with ESP Plugin It also allows us to work on our performances away from the keyboard and then recreate the same environment on stage.
The result is simple: less time spent on setup, more time immersed in the music.
