PF Essential in our live setup on the Nord Electro 6
26 programs to shape our repertoire
PF Essential becomes part of our setup for the Nord Electro 6 Series with 26 programs built around the keyboard parts of the Pink Floyd repertoire. Hi-Res samples, looping samples, splits, and layers make it possible to organize organs, pianos, pads, and leads by following the setlist directly.
Each program has a specific function within the arrangement, reducing unnecessary sound changes while keeping the required combinations readily available throughout the performance.
From Dark Side to High Hopes: Every Sound in Its Place
Breathe Organ and BrainDam Organ cover the organ parts of The Dark Side of the Moon, while Speak to sample, Time to sample and Clock and time handle samples and transitional moments.
Shine on patch and Shine on solo separate the accompaniment from the solo part; Us and layer and Us and patch make it possible to organize different combinations for the same song. A great piano Organ combines piano and organ, while High Bell Piano introduces the distinctive sounds of High Hopes.
On Stage: Splits, Samples, and Seamless Transitions
On the Nord Electro 6, we organize the 26 programs around the needs of the setlist, preparing splits, sound combinations, and sample recalls in advance. The goal is to move from one section to the next without interrupting the performance or having to search manually for the next sound.
In Shine On You Crazy Diamond, we control the transition between accompaniment and solo; in Us and Them, the management of different sound combinations; and in The Great Gig in the Sky, the availability of piano and organ. For the songs from The Dark Side of the Moon, we also check the samples used in intros and transitions.
Before rehearsals, we check the loading of the separate program and sample bundles, making sure that each patch correctly recalls its associated material. We then adjust levels, split balance, and transitions between programs within the context of the band, keeping the layout consistent with the order of the songs.
