DG-20 Legacy in our live setup on the Line 6 POD GO
How a Sound Library Becomes Part of the Show
DG-20 Legacy becomes part of our setup by following the setlist directly. The 15 presets are tied to the songs and adapted to the guitar’s actual role in the mix, moving from ambient cleans and delays to rhythm tones, drive, and more sustained lead sounds.
On the Line 6 POD Go, the advantage is having these reference tones already organized within a compact and immediate rig.
From Sound to Song
Each preset takes us directly to a specific moment in the setlist: Shine, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage, Comfortably Numb, Coming Back to Life, Keep Talking, Learning To Fly, Money, Run Like Hell, Sorrow, Speak To Me, Take It Back, The Wall, Time, and Us and Them.
In the more atmospheric songs, we focus mainly on delay and space; in the lead parts of Time and Comfortably Numb, sustain, dynamics, and presence in the mix become essential.
Run Like Hell is our reference for precision and delay; Money for attack, gain, and modulation; Shine On and Us and Them for depth and ambience.
On stage, it's all about the FLOW
On the POD Go, we arrange the presets according to the show and assign footswitches and the expression pedal only to the functions we actually use.
Before the live show, we check levels, transitions, delay tails, and the changes between clean and lead sounds, avoiding unnecessary controls. The result is a setup that is faster to manage and more natural during the performance.
