PF Cover EXP in our live setup on the Kurzweil K2700
When the keyboard changes its role along with the song, the sound becomes part of the story
With PF Cover EXP, the 109 preset The Program and Multi modes cover a vast portion of Pink Floyd's repertoire. The Program modes shape the sound; the Multi modes transform those sounds into configurations designed for a specific song or a specific moment within it.
On the Kurzweil K2700 this means being able to switch from electric pianos, organs, and pads to leads, samples, and textures without losing the flow of the arrangement.
Each song creates its own landscape
In Time, watches, vocals, EPs, the Wurly, and pads all become part of the same journey. Echoes constantly switches between piano, Hammond, Farfisa, ambient sounds, and synths, while Shine On You Crazy Diamond creates a soundscape made up of pads, glass, lead, organ, strings, and samples.
Samples are also incorporated into the music as actual elements of the arrangement: from the clocks in Time to the atmosphere of Echoes, up to Money, Another Brick in the Wall, High Hopes and Pigs.
When the setup actually follows the music
On the K2700, the Multi often becomes our starting point: from there, we organize programs, layers, samples, and leads based on what the song actually requires.
The result is a setlist that spans very different eras of Pink Floyd while always maintaining its own coherence.
When everything is already in the right place, you no longer think about how many sounds you've loaded—you just feel the song taking shape beneath your fingers.
