On Overloud TH-U, these 15 presets become part of our preparation and recording workflow, always keeping the song at the center.
From Sound to Song
Run Like Hell calls for precision and delay, Money lives in the balance between attack, gain, and modulation, while Time and Comfortably Numb need sustain and presence. Shine On and Us and Them, on the other hand, breathe within the space created by delay tails and ambience.
So we’re not looking for a single “Gilmour sound.” We’re looking for the tone that best complements that specific moment in the music.
When the sound really comes together in the mix
With TH-U we can prepare the parts directly on the computer, quickly retrieving the character of the piece without having to rebuild the entire chain each time.
Delays, reverbs, and drive effects are then listened to within the complete arrangement, along with keyboards, bass, and vocals. That’s when we realize whether a sound is simply working or is actually adding something to the song.
